ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

PHP Russia 2022— is the largest Russian conference focused on PHP.

this year main topics are:

  • PHP ecosystem: language itself, standards, frameworks, libraries and OpenSource;

  • Large companies experience as an example of how PHP could be used to build really complex projects with modern approaches and best practices.

We won't forget day-to-day development topics as well since PHP is great for it.

TOPICS

Same as in previous years, PHP Russia stays focused on PHP. New tools, PHP itself, best practices, security, and, of course, case studies. But this time we want to include some wider topics such as infrastructure, data storage etc.

If your topic does not fit the categories mentioned, likely, it is just a category missing :)

Submit the talk, send an email to speakers.php@ontico.ru, and we will think about how to make it fit the conference.

WHAT IS A GREAT TALK FOR US?
A common pitfall is that developers within a company think like "I don't think it's interesting, everybody knows that". If something isn't obvious for your own colleagues, it is likely worth talking about.
Based on personal experience.
Would be interesting for middle-senior-etc. levels.
Has info about technology quirks and development.
Waiting forward for your great talks!
CPF is open till June 14 th, 2022.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS

Conference topics are interesting not only for PHP developers but for analytics, DevOps and managers.

  • We are open to different formats: master classes, round table, standup, lightning talk etc.

HOW WE WORK WITH SPEAKERS
1
CFP submission

Submit your talk via the following page: ontico.ru.

We'll need title, thesis, a few words on why the talk is useful for conference participants. You may link to extra materials: previous talks recorded on video, draft slides etc.
As program committee members, we'll be grateful for properly filled talk submissions as it will allow us to really get the idea and make the decision faster.
2
Communication with program committee
We'll check your submission and ask additional questions. A call may be a good idea.

Please add speakers.php@ontico.ru to trusted emails so important messages won't get to spam.
3
Competition and decision making
Conference is time-constrained so we can't have all the cool talks submitted and will choose the best. When making a decision we check if the topic fits the conference and is a hot one currently, if it is useful for conference participants, does it provide new ways of doing things, and if it could be applied in practice.

The earlier the talk is submitted and the more you work along with program committee members, the higher your chances are.
4
Preparing a talk
Each speaker is curated by a program committee member. If needed, curator may help improving talk structure so it fits audience best, making it clear about tricky parts. Also, curator will listen to a talk on a test-run. We ask everyone to do at least one test-run and are happy to do more.
SPEAKER PACKAGE
Conference ticket
Conference "speaker" ticket granting access to talks, exhibition, networking zones, free lunch, speaker party.

Travel for speakers from other cities

Full travel package including airplane tickets and visa assistance

Talk preparation

Feedback
We collect feedback after the talk and will share it with you.
Video and other materials
Speakers are getting early access to all the materials of the conference.
